Set to be completed in 2021, the city will have aquatic sports right by the Liffey.
A fortnight ago Dublin City Councillors were given the go ahead for a new exciting project on George’s Dock.
Following much discussion a new €22 million multi purpose white-water rafting centre will be built. Providing an attraction for tourists and also doubling up as a space for emergency services to use for training, it will be completed in 2021.
In a video uploaded to youtube by Smart Docklands it shows the potential attraction complete with a space reserved by the river Liffey for sports such as canoeing. Coupled with a dam complete with rapids for rafting it seems nailed on to draw thousands annually.
