Taproot Art Auction aims to de-stigmatise, raise money to help inner city homelessness and offer fine art and a good time.


Some of Ireland’s most talented artists (up-and-comers as well as a few veterans)  plus a several international heads are coming together on January 27 in MART, Rathmines for a charity art auction. The impressive list of names involved includes Hugh Cooney, John Ratajkowski (CA), Doug Ross, Ickis Mirolo, Ruan van Vliet, Aoife Dunne, Pan Cooke, Decoy, Hens Teeth, Tim Strazza (NY), Dylan Kerr, Will St Leger, Harriet Bruce (UK), Geoff Ryan, Bob London (UK), Robyn Carey, Julie Weber, Rob Fitzgerald, Stephen McCarthy, Cyan Ryan and Sacha Strange.

More artists are still to be announced, and submissions are still welcome. Email Sophie on before the deadline of Friday January 12 at 6pm to get involved.

There’ll also be music on the night from James Rogers of Orange Tree Edits and DDR host Staxx Lyrical.

“It is widely known that mental health is a large grassroot issue that can often lead to, or result from, the state of being homeless, an issue which is absolutely pervasive in this country – buy ART to contribute to the dissemblance of this cycle.”
