“…heralds a new day, the arrival of a new group of young hip-hop artists…”

Ok, we’re a little late to the party on this release, but trust us, you’ll be glad you listened.

Clare-native Mankyy dropped his ‘Character Development’ EP on New Year’s Day, choosing this time because it “heralds a new day, the arrival of a new group of young hip-hop artists, in this instance centred around the Clare wonder that is Mankyy.”

Only 18-years-old, Mankyy’s intricate and experimental beats mixed with the recognisable and interesting accents of rappers like Jonen Dekay is an indication of the strong position Irish hip hop is in right now.

Enjoy and purchase the release below.
