Following the release of his gripping new album ‘Survival’ the East coast MC is ready to shell The Voodoo Lounge this Sunday.

Hailing from Harlem, New York, Dave East is landing on Irish shores this Sunday for his Irish debut. First gaining attention with his 2014 mixtape ‘Black Rose’ his status has steadily rose as one of the East coast’s most lyrical artists.

After a college basketball stint, Dave’s attention gravitated full time to music. Starting in 2010, an array of highly praised mixtapes earned him widespread recognition in the hip-hop community.

Following a number of releases Nas took him under his wing, signed him to his label in 2014 and continues to mentor him. The legendary MC executive produced his latest album and has repeatedly spoke glowingly about the Dave East’s abilities on the mic.

East’s flow and intricate word play can satisfy even the most picky hip hop head. His consistent delivery of quality records is  evident and his status as one of the underground’s most exciting prospects has only become more obvious with time.

Despite frequently paying homage to the greats by way of his stylistic choices, the spitter has demonstrated his versatility in recent projects. Most notably linking with Lil Baby for a banging effort that many would consider out of the reaches of his comfort zone.

An XXL Freshman pick in 2016, he brings his ‘Survival Tour’ to Voodoo lounge this Sunday off the back of his 2019 album ‘Survival’ that was executive produced by Nas and featured the likes of DJ Premier and Rick Ross
