One of the music videos of the year so far.

Flatbush Zombies aka The Glorious Dead have tapped up James Blake for production on their latest effort ‘Afterlife’.

Shot in Paris before the pandemic and directed by Arnaud Bresson, the video sees the trio get rowdy through an x-ray lense. Traditionally Erick Arc Elliott from the New York rap group produces the large majority of their songs, however, they’ve taken a different approach with their latest single, allowing James Blake to weave his magic over a fittingly terrifying cut.

“Today, there is no technology that x-ray films a living being without endangering it, so we worked hand in hand with a post-production company to develop a technical device that would allow us to achieve a similar effect,” Arnaud Bresson said in a press release.

“We used multi-camera tracking, recorded the positions and movements of our characters to extract and apply to our 3D compositions. It took four months of work to find the perfect style.”

The Brooklyn trio released their last EP ‘More Now Than Ever‘ in June this year.
