The group have released thought-provoking visuals for ‘Rubicon’.
GOTA have returned with a new video for the stand-out track ‘Rubicon’ from their second album ‘Suspended‘. The video, written and directed by front man James Smith is a considered piece that illustrates the difficulties of miscommunication that are highlighted in ‘Rubicon’.
Despite the marked maturity of their sophomore album, its inevitable even when a four people including two siblings have created with each other for over a decade there will be conflict.
On the track they said, “In the lead up to writing ‘Rubicon’ Niall and James had come to blows and were not speaking to each other. Eventually Niall came in with this bass line, which was what broke the silence between them. Working in close proximity with each other for so long there is ultimately going to be conflict; luckily this conflict gave us Rubicon.”
Following the release of the video and the success of their album the boys will be playing their biggest headline show to date in the Button Factory 15 November.
