Voted best festival at the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) Awards, Electric Picnic is back with a bang in 2015 and their lineup has been released.

The main players include Underworld, Hot Chip, Florence + The Machine, Future Islands and Jurassic 5 among others. However, the amount of Irish talent currently on the bill is disappointing. Though, with more to be announced soon, hopefully there will be a string of top homegrown bands and producers playing in Portlaoise come the end of summer.

Girl Band will be flying the flag for Dublin, and if their recent sold out show in the Twisted Pepper is anything to go by punters will be in for a treat.

Bray trio Wyvern Lingo have been doing the rounds lately bringing their unique alternative pop to various venues across the country. Their slot at Ireland’s biggest festival is well deserved.

Besides these three we can’t spot anyone else from our fair isle, but Picnic has never let us down in this respect before. There’s still hope
