Hovay has taken a significant step in his solo career with impressive debut visuals for ‘Karma’.

Initially bursting onto the scene as one half of Hendrick Lane and pumping out quality tracks for close to five years, Hovay made his solo debut with the smooth and melodic ‘Karma’ and now he has released visuals.

The video, directed by Tara O’Callaghan features nostalgic flashes and shots of the MC reflecting on what once seemed a flawless relationship. Visibly conflicted he ruminates on what could have been, reminding himself what goes around comes around.

“The inspiration behind the song ‘Karma’ is all about the frustration and exhilaration of pursuing a toxic connection.”

“My goal as an artist is to inspire people and be the light in areas of darkness by sharing my personal stories, experience & knowledge I have picked up along my journey. All in the hopes that people will realise we’re not alone here, and we’re all going through similar struggles in life.”

Using his latest single as a medium to express his myriad of emotions, Hovay is demonstrating his intentions to provide more thoughtful tracks and to develop the scope of his approach as a solo artist.

On taking the jump as a solo artist Hovay said, “It’s a great challenge for me as I can really experiment with the different aspects of myself and bring it out musically.”
