“Originally I wanted to write some music for my home – the Curragh Plains, and became interested in the idea of writing music specifically for and of a place.”

In December 2016 Jack Colleran released his final track under his MMOTHS moniker. The Irish producer and musician retired the alias, confirming a new direction under the name J Colleran.

He’s now shared a new video for ‘O + SOH’, directed by Nic Hamilton.

According to an interview with Crack Magazine, Colleran said it was one of the first tracks he wrote with strings in mind.

“Originally I wanted to write some music for my home – the Curragh Plains, and became interested in the idea of writing music specifically for and of a place. This led to an interest in writing music for non-existent or fictional places, where the music or the tracks themselves become or depict these unreal spaces.”

A new album is slated for a summer 2018 release, but watch the new video below in the meantime.

Colleran released his debut album earlier in 2016 – click here to read an in depth interview with him about the process – entitled ‘Luneworks’.
