Jafaris and Joy Crookes link for a considered effort.

Hailing from South London but with roots in Ireland, Joy Crookes has always had a strong affinity with the emerald isle.

Expanding on her Irish connection, the songstress has joined forces with Jafaris for a soft and considered piece. ‘Early’ sees the duo reflecting on the inevitable speed at which romantic relationships blossom despite forewarning.

Joy featured in the wildly popular ‘Colors‘ platform on youtube back in 2017 and has been growing steadily since, with three stellar EPs and a number of creative music videos.

Jafaris too has been busy, with the release of his debut album ‘Stride‘ earlier in 2019 the Dublin artist has demonstrated his growth from a promising talent to a bonafide solo artist. ‘Early’ sees a shift in topic from much of the content in Jafaris’ debut album. There’s a more assured approach and less of the speculative, premeditative content that formed the core of his project.

‘Early’ is a thoroughly considered track brimming with natural chemistry.

On the collaboration Crookes said, “Everything has been totally natural between us and he’s a good friend of mine now. He is also super talented, I really love his work and what he does.”
