Perhaps best known for collaborating closely with Aoife McCann on her Æ MAK project, recently lullahush started carving a solo path.

Also known as Daniel McIntyre, he told us in a recent interview that he was being patient about releasing his solo music. Under the name lullahush the Dublin artist travelled to Berlin as a participant at the Red Bull Music Academy. It’s become abundantly clear that he was able to sharpen his tools in a serious way during what turned out to be the final RBMA.

‘Terracotta Slow Dance’ was the first taste of the forthcoming ‘A City Made Of Water And Small Love’, and now he’s returned with another single from the project.

“I started writing this song when I was 17 and afraid of becoming a ‘hopeless twenty-something’,” he says of ‘Elysium’. “It grew up with me and became about the people you lose and the places you can’t get back to, but also about the people you stay with and the places you never stop going.”

Check it out below or head over to Nialler9 for the premiere.

For Episode 1 of New Voices we interview lullahush, who gave us a glimpse inside Funkhaus and the 20th edition of the Red Bull Music Academy.
