“Wrote this about someone I knew.  Guess you don’t know people as well as you think.”

Are you ready to meet one of your new favourite Irish rappers? In January newcomer Malaki released the atmospheric ‘CALL US BY OUR NAMES‘, more of a spoken word effort featuring a sample of Erykah Badu’s ‘On and On’.

Now the Dublin artist has returned with a new track that has more straight up hip hop sensibilities. With subject matter focusing on love, and more importantly the loss of it, Malaki is making the emotional, laid back rap that artists like Kojaque and FYNCH started off their musical careers with.

With Malaki, it feels like we have another special hip hop artist to add to this country’s growing list. We’re excited to hear more.
