The wait is finally over, the duo’s first album is here.

It’s no secret that Mango and MathMan have been working on ‘Casual Work’ for some time. They subtly teased details about the project on social media and release dates had been rumoured for some time.

Things started heating up when they dropped what was a surprising collaboration with Lisa Hannigan for the lead single ‘Deep Blue’. A thoughtful effort and a departure from much of their previous content, it signalled the direction the pair were heading in.

Landing on streaming services today, ‘Casual Work’ features fifteen tracks and still frequently leans on the grime and garage notions that initially popularised the group.

Arriving just before the end of the decade, what is unquestionably one of the most anticipated projects of the year also represents another major release within the growing genre of hip hop in Ireland. Mango x MathMan have been at the forefront of that wave for some time and they’ve followed 2017’s ‘Wheel Up’ EP with a body of markedly more mature work.
