Maria Somerville gives a taste of her forthcoming mini-LP.

 

Irish singer-songwriter and producer Maria Somerville last week shared a new video for ‘Eyes Don’t Say It’, with visuals by Dublin based photographer and videographer, Cáit Fahey, “Weaving the barren but beautiful landscape of the west of Ireland into the bones of her emotive soundscape”.

The Connemara native cites Dorothy Cross as an inspiration for her productions, with both artists putting a lens on the area of Galway Maria says Cross “finds beauty in things. Objects that are of the land rather than the landscape itself”.

Maria Somerville’s debut mini-LP will arrive in late Autumn, the creation of which ha “taught me the process of limitations and surrendering”. Check out the new video below.
