The annual contemporary music festival is back.


Now in its third year, Music Current returns to the beautiful confines of Smock Alley Theatre, “showcasing the best of new Irish and international contemporary electronic music”.

From April 12-14, the Dublin quays venue will come alive with  concerts, panel discussions and a music commission worth €2,500.

The focus of this year’s edition is to celebrate piano and keyboard music, curated by Dublin Sound Lab. 2018 concerts include composer Stefan Prins, pianist Stephane Ginsburgh, the Yarn|Wire ensemble, improviser Izumi Kimura, Francis Heery, Elis Czerniak and many more.
