We’re excited to share Dublin production duo Mount Alaska’s new track for the first time.

Ahead of a busy summer of festivals at the likes of Forbidden Fruit and Another Love Story, Mount Alaska have just released the first of a series of new tracks.

“Abacus is our first single of 2018, on our Language Recordings imprint, and follows up the recent release of our Feather Beds remix, Headache Dreams, on Moderna Records,” explains Cillian Mc Donnell. “As we edge closer to festival season, now felt like a really good time to release it. We’ll be playing live at Forbidden Fruit, and appearing at Another Love Story in August, with some more festival slots to announce very shortly.”

Stephen Shannon continues by saying the pair’s writing has been influenced more and more by their slew of live performances in 2017.

“We’ve been experimenting more with vocal samples and using my old Juno 106 for arpeggios, which we manipulate as the track evolves. All of which you can hear on ‘Abacus'; a studio endeavour which has evolved into our favourite track to play out live now.”

Check it out in full below, and keep an ear out for more new Mount Alaska very soon.
