“My music is about two things: emotion and dancing”

After plying their trade by putting on parties over the past couple of years, Pear have stepped into the label world, creating their own imprint.

Kicking it off with their first release, r.kitt is set to share his debut EP ‘Jigsaw’.

“Drawing deeply on influences from Chicago and distinct from the melodic emotion achieved by artists like Larry Heard, each track on this 12 is awash in feeling alongside some strong rhythms to provoke bodily movement. The melodies are deep and rich, the beats are banging and it sure feels good.”

We’re excited to premiere the second track on the B-side entitled ‘Toms’.

“My music is about two things: emotion and dancing,” says Robbie. “For me, the two are deeply connected. On the dancefloor, movement inspires feeling and feeling inspires movement. I want your mind and body to be lost in this experience. The Jigsaw EP is a map to get you there.”

Pear are celebrating the launch this Saturday. First up, they take over All City Records from noon, then onto Tengu. €5 entry all night. Click here for more.
