“I couldn’t see myself retiring or even imagine it, I love what I do so much, I wouldn’t be as happy as I am right now if I wasn’t in someway involved.”

Burner Records co-founder and producer of everything atmospheric Marcus Woods has a catalog bigger than those a number of years his elder. With some of his earlier works having disappeared into the depths of the internet, it’s left people eagerly waiting his next release.

Recent cuts have created astral sonic landscapes that borrow trap drums to form his signature sound. However he’s demonstrated the range of his musical repertoire with his collaborative EP ‘Global Warming’ with Rebel Phoenix. Featuring straight up banging instrumentals, the production on the project was a welcomed switch up from his more ethereal solo music.

There has been hints of new music from the young producer. He has posted vague images on social media and recently worked with FYNCH on his ‘Bookies Pens & Loose Ends‘ EP.

Whilst we’re left waiting for some more other-worldly goodness we caught up with Marcus to shoot him some questions.
