Rejjie gives a taste of ‘Dear Annie’.

Rejjie has just released the first single from his long-awaited album ‘Dear Annie’, scheduled for release on February 16. The Drumcondra rapper gone international shared a new track called ‘Milk & Honey’ in December, but according to The Fader his latest track is the lead track from the forthcoming LP.

‘Egyptian Luvr’ features Aminé, LA vocalist Dana Williams and is produced by in-demand Canadian beatmaker Kaytranada.

Here’s what Rejjie has to say about the track on The Fader:

“The song is about your last moments. Tomorrow isn’t promised and we learn this the hard way. In this song, I was in my last moments [of a relationship], telling my girl how much I love her, and thank you for this journey we rode. My album has lots of different feelings: I wanted it to feel like you’re slowing dying and losing your mind throughout.”

Back in October he announced that he’ll be embarking on his biggest ever UK and European headline tour. The behemoth 29-date tour includes a show at London’s Roundhouse, and a triumphant return to Dublin to play The Olympia Theatre on March 12.
