The Soft Boy Records crew head to Peckham for Boiler Room Festival 2019 and Kojaque announces EU tour.
A festival that prides itself on curating a line-up featuring a plethora of genres has added one of Ireland’s most promising outfits to the event.
Soft Boys Kojaque, Luka Palm, Kean Kavanagh and Gaptoof are all showcasing their sounds in South London alongside other emerging artists.
Highlighting a different genre everyday Boiler Room Festival has added names that range from Greentea Peng to Alfa Mist on the jazzier side of the spectrum. For those more rap inclined there’s a big focus on London’s emerging talent with Lord Apex, Lava La Rue and P-Rallel all making appearances this year. Birmingham’s Jaykae who recently featured on Slowthai’s ‘Nothing Great About Britain’ will also be present at the festival, contributing to a forward facing selection of artists.
All four artists on Soft Boy Records were heavily involved in the recently released ‘Green Diesel‘ mixtape and the inclusion in this lineup is recognition of the direction they are heading in.
Aiming to provide an equal playing field for rising artists, Boiler Room Festival has picked thriving underground artists and their relevant collectives to don the stages in October.
With no headliners, they say, “It’s not about any one artist it’s about the communities they thrive in”.
Off the back of the Boiler Room announcement yesterday Kojaque revealed he is taking his tunes to Europe with the ‘I’m A Shitebag Tour’, including dates with Slowthai and further UK shows.
