The Dublin Quays festival kicks off tonight for their second edition of the event, and this year they’re hosting five days of free spoken word and music events, with some of the most burgeoning poets, spoken word artists, musicians and vocalists around Dublin.

Six venues along the liffey will play host to The Dublin Quays Festival, including Sin É, The Workman’s Club, The Liquor Rooms, The Grand Social, The Sound House and The Wiley Fox.

The festival is showcasing Irish creative talents, with something there for everyone all the way from hip hop, soul and spoken word to trad sessions, folk and indie music.

The festival kicks off tonight and ends on Monday, with a hugely comprehensive line up of acts in some of Dublin’s most cherished and intimate venues – with somewhat of an urban heavy line up, it’s keeping in check with the current culture in Dublin.
