It features Skepta and Depeche Mode, but what else would you expect from the Monkeytown main men? Moderat are set to perform at Bulmers Forbidden Fruit Festival on Sunday June 4.

Between Sascha Ring, aka Apparat, and Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, aka Modeselektor, the diversity of Moderat’s musical output is matched only by their eclectic taste.

Since forming in 2002, their solo and collaborative releases have become the sound of their native Berlin.

As they say themselves Apparat “fuses tricky electronics with heartfelt and auspicious pop”, while Modeselektor “assimilate and process the tiniest vibrations in the global bass continuum and at the same time, their wobbly salvos and their oblique sense of humour are unmistakable”.

For our new series we asked Moderat to tell us the last five tracks they played in the studio/phone/laptop, no cheating.

1. Skepta – No Security

2. Tycho – A Walk

3. Grauzone – Eisbär

4. Helge Schneider – Katzenoma

5. Depeche Mode – Never Let Me Down Again
