“People still stop us in the street to rave about what our shows at last year’s Electric Picnic meant to them. Our ‘My Best Friend’ EP is for them.”
King Bones are a six-piece band from Dublin who used to go by the name of discopunks.
“We’re all music fanatics so we want to inspire people the way bands such as The Fall, Talking Heads and The Stone Roses inspired us. Even though King Bones are still a new act with these new songs it feels like a new chapter for the group.”
For their latest visuals they’ve linked up with videographer Max Carpio to shoot the antics of two friends as they cause mischief and have fun in Barcelona.
The new track is taken from their upcoming EP ‘My Best Friend’ which they’ll be launching at Bello Bar on May 31. You can also catch the band at Forbidden Fruit on June 2.
“The band couldn’t be any more excited about the video and upcoming EP. We’ve worked non-stop, day and night, in The Mill studio with producer Ger McDonnell day to get the particular sound we want… We reckon we’ve nailed it with this EP.
“It was a busy summer of gigs last year and the response to these new tracks has been incredible, beyond any expectations we could possibly have had. People still stop us in the street to rave about what our shows at last year’s Electric Picnic meant to them. Our ‘My Best Friend’ EP is for them.”
