Adam King from the Late Late Toy Show launches Valentines Day Cards for charity

The ‘Hug for You’ cards will be available from this Friday, with proceeds going to CHI Temple Street and Cork University Hospital Charity.

Back in December, Adam King held up a homemade sign encouraging people to give virtual hugs in the midst of the global pandemic and subsequently captured the attention of Ireland when he appeared on The Late Late Toy Show.

Now, he’s revealed that he is releasing Valentines cards with his ‘Hug for You’ design seen on The Late Late Show. Teaming up with Centra and Supervalu, the retail stores will sell the cards with proceeds going to CHI Temple Street and Cork University Hospital Charity.

They’ll be on sale from Friday and are landing as part of a collaboration with Wicklow card producer Garlanna Cards.

Adam’s father David said, “Adam has been a patient of these hospitals since the day he was born, so we have experienced first-hand the amazing work they are doing.”

“We are delighted to partner with SuperValu and Centra to support their work in this way.”

“The values of these companies, supporting community and accessibility align greatly with our own.”

“Additionally, we hope the card will bring some much needed joy to people’s lives in these challenging times of disconnect.”

Elsewhere, a co-living complex in Dublin is planning to use thermal cameras to monitor resident’s temperatures.
