Multidisciplinary visual artist Aoife Dunne is bringing a new travelling digital artwork installation to Fingal residences as part the council’s new initiative ‘Let’s Stay Together’.
In a bid to connect people and ideas during Covid-19, Aoife’s new and immersive mobile, digital installation will reimagine physical things into 3d designs. What’s more is Fingal residents can request the installation to their house/hospital/community centre by contacting Aoife via transcendingtime.ie.
Through the initiative she hopes to brighten the lives of people in the local community and bring colour to you so you can continue to do your bit by staying at home.
‘Transcending Time’ launches on June 8 for the Fingal community and the outdoor exhibition will be brought to resident’s front doors over the course of three days initially, by van with large physical screens.
Aoife said, “I am incredibly excited to create this work for my community, when art is needed now more than ever. As artists globally are turning to digital platforms to create new work and connect with their audience, I wanted to do something a little different and bring art to you. This work ‘Transcending Time’ speaks to perception, escapism and fantasy – a theatrical exploration of the borderline between reality and utopia.”
The initiative runs 8-10 June and local residents can request digital artwork to their doorstep here.
