Billie Eilish to headline Glastonbury 2022

Words: Dylan Murphy

She becomes the youngest ever solo headliner at the legendary festival.

This morning, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis confirmed on social media that Billie EIlish will headline the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm next year.

Speaking on Twitter she said, “We couldn’t be happier to announce that the wondrous Billie Eilish is headlining the Pyramid on Friday at next year’s Glastonbury, becoming the youngest solo headliner in our history. This feels like the perfect way for us to return and I cannot wait!”

Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney were booked as headliners to the later cancelled 2020 edition of the festival.

A virtual version followed in 2021 with Jorja Smith, Idles, Kano and more taking part.

The news comes after the release of her number one album Happier Than Ever.
