Bobby Basil gives a makeup tutorial in new video
Another peak at his upcoming full-length project.
In November Bobby Basil announced that his debut album would be arriving in early 2019. ‘Isaac Nelson’ will be Bobby’s debut full-length and is dropping on January 11. It comes after a couple of years of the Dublin artist experimenting with direction and sound, but it seems the vocalist and rapper has now found his feet.
He released ‘She Don’t Know the Cost’ as the first taste and now he’s back with another.
Blending the worlds of guitar-led indie, trap and using experimental auto-tuned vocals ‘Makeup’ is bolstered by the talented Shortcut on production. The video is self-directed by Bobby under the name Isaac Nelson and is a clear middle finger to hip hop’s traditional hyper-masculinity.
