The news follows a post from the incarcerated rapper on Instagram.

Bobby Shmurda took to Instagram in the early hours of this morning to tease his release from Prison.

The New York rapper has been in prison since 2016 after being sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy and weapons possession in connection with ‘GS9’ gang.

The Brooklyn rapper posted the opening scene from Christopher Walken’s King of New York as a way of revealing the news he’d be free soon.

The caption on the post read, “How the fuc y’all forget about me”.

Bobby Shmurda (real name is Ackquille Pollard), is being paroled early after being denied parole in December of 2020.

According to court documents Bobby will be free as of tomorrow (23 February).
