It seems like we are embracing the day party moreso than ever nowadays. Frankly fighting an uphill battle to extend opening hours, why not just bring the night forward?
The institution that is Boiler Room, alongside Budweiser and AVA, has announced a stacked day party, set to take place in Custom House Square on 14 September. This Saturday, Yung Singh, Southstar, Miss Bashful and many more names will delve in the depths of the crowd to curate tracks for the ten-hour session. From 13:00 – 23:00, ten names will take to the decks, as a precursor to Caribou’s Boiler Room at the Telegraph Building that night.
Belfast has quietly been establishing itself in Ireland as a hub of electronic music. Seeing acts such as BICEP and David Holmes export the nightlife culture around the world, has been a spectacle. And though AVA festival, nightlife and electronic music has become one of the sonic backbones to Belfast City.
Boiler Room has risen to the top when it comes to platforming artists and skyrocketing a DJ’s profile. What started off as an underground “in the know” sub-culture, has now blossomed into a universally enjoyed and appreciated form of performance. With an immersive atmosphere like no other, it’s easy to see how the momentum has never stopped in the 15 years since Boiler Room’s inception.
