Dena Anuk$a releases wavey visuals for ‘Shine’

Dena Anuk$a calls for authenticity and encourages shared success in latest visuals.

Belfast MC Dena Anuk$a is back with visuals for her newest track ‘Shine’. Having released numerous singles in the past eight months whilst leading the Belfast division of Gxrl Code it’s been a busy 2019 for Dena.  Continuing her rich vein of form, she has brings her trademark melodic vocals helped with a healthy dose of rapping in the newest effort.

Created as an ode to other women and to highlight the importance of supporting one another Dena said, “The song was inspired by a red table talk episode where Jada Smith spoke about women shining through each other and being happy for each other’s success. I feel like this is something that we lack in Northern Ireland and the music industry as a whole, which is what our collective Gxrl Code is also trying to change.”

Reasserting her consistent affirmations of the importance of staying true to yourself in the track Dena is keen to work with those close to her in order to execute her vision.

“The video is shot by my home girl (and housemate) KT, she nailed the wavey alternative bitch vibe I had envisioned for the song.”
