The South West London songwriter becomes the first signee to the clothing brand’s label.
It’s hard not to get excited about dexter. In 2021, her I Do Love a Good Sandwich EP propelled her to the top of ones to watch lists everywhere and her charming songwriting had her in our playlist rotation from day dot. Since then, she’s toured with Denzel Curry and Fred Again.. and now, she’s announced her new deal with ‘Pressure’.
The song and visuals arrive courtesy of RULESTHEWORLD Records, a new label imprint offshoot from clothing brand Corteiz. dexter is the first act to sign with the label and speaking on the single she says, “The song was the first song I had made in a while that I liked after a long period of really not enjoying making music. In the song I was talking about the way I feel like I’ve changed since leaving school and how I wanted to change the way I’d been feeling, as I’d felt so bad for quite a while. I think this is my fave song I have made so far. I like it a lot.”
