Drumcondra’s newest pizza place has a little pinch-me moment

By Emily Mullen

Now in your time of Knead

It’s incredible to think that during this hellscape of a year, some people have grabbed their dreams and started shit. While most have used their time to created furrows in the sofa seats, some have conceived and launched businesses. Knead Pizza & Bottleshop is one such enterprise, who launched just three weeks ago in Drumcondra. The pizza place-come-bougie-off-license is situated above the old The Cat And Cage pub.

The team at Knead had a little pinch-me moment when they thanked their patrons for their support, “To think we started this Knead dream only in December.. We are 3 weeks open & we are so grateful for your support”.

Selling crispy Roman-style pizzas with toppings that tick all the right boxes like Toonsbridge mozzarella, spicy Gubbeen chorizo, and nduja sausage alongside some funky ingredients like smoked wild boar, goat salami, smoked olive oil, and micro basil. Knead also have a pretty curated selection of beers from the likes of Ska Brewing, Mik Keller, LERVIG, Founders Brewing, Gipsy Hill Brewing, Tool Beer, The White Hag, and loads more.

Knead are currently doing walk-ins and collections, follow them on Instagram for updates.
