Dublin’s essential events this weekend 22//23//24

A vinyl release party, banging techno nights and an Afro Caribbean party to get you moving this weekend.

Every Thursday at District we’ll be curating a selection of unmissable events in Dublin ahead of the coming weekend. Whether you have an appetite for thumping techno or are craving some hip hop classics we have you covered.

This weekend see’s Soft Boy Records celebrate the release of ‘Green Diesel’ on Vinyl at All City Records, plenty of club nights and a huge mix of live music.

Friday 22 November

Don't worry about itDont Worry about it have curated another awesome line-up this week. With Niall Morrissey on opening duties followed by the up and coming alt-indie hip hop act sourfruit. To close the night they have Bray native EMA, who has been making waves on the DJ circuit in Ireland.

FYNCH ‘Bookies Pens and Loose Ends’ EP Launch – Drop Dead Twice – 19.00 – 23.00

Following the release of his EP Bookies Pens & Loose Ends, Dublin wordsmith FYNCH will be playing a headline show in Drop Dead Twice this Saturday.

“This EP, for me, needs to move my music along. It’s my first proper release, with distinct themes going throughout,” said FYNCH. “Since Burner Records’ inception at the tail end of 2018, we’ve done well in staying active and creating buzz. Since this is the first actual release on the label, we need to see that continue.”

The EP demonstrates genuine growth from his last EP ‘Mixvape’ and having performed frequently with the Burner Records crew it promises to be a whopper night.

There will be support on the night from Burner Records DJs and a special guest.

Following  the show on the 22 November selling out, Sasha & John Digweed have added a second date the following day. They are returning to Ireland to make their District 8 debut in the brand new venue. This legendary duo helped define the sound of progressive house & trance in the late 90s, touring internationally and releasing the fabled “Northern Exposure” mix album. Since 2002 they have both pursued acclaimed solo careers, playing together only a handful times in the intervening years.
