Dublin’s essential events this weekend 31//1//2

Kick off your Halloween with some of the city’s spookiest events.

Every Thursday at District we’ll be curating a selection of unmissable events in Dublin ahead of the coming weekend. Whether you have an appetite for thumping techno or are craving some hip hop classics we have you covered.

As to be expected we have added a number of haunting events to this week’s essential list ahead of Halloween. There’s a healthy mix of banging local music and international heavy hitters to keep you moving all weekend.

Thursday 31 November

The Midnight Disco Halloween Party – District 8 – 22.00 – 03.00

The Midnight Disco have announced their biggest party to date. They are taking over District 8 for Halloween with names from home and abroad.

Featuring on the night is Randomer, Lsdxoxo, Aoife O’Neill, Notions, Thrust and The Midnight Disco residents. There will be art installations from NCAD and fancy dress is encouraged.

One Last Time With Feeling – The Bernard Shaw – 16.00 – 05.00

One last time with feeling

Featuring a mega line up in their last appearance in The Shaw, Good Name, Junior Spesh, Club Comfort, Betty and Acid Granny (Live) will providing the vibes all night. One of the stand out events on Halloween this year.

Human T-Error: Shampain -39/40 Dublin – 23.00 – 03.00

Galway native Shampain has quickly risen through the ranks with his selection of techno, jungle and grime building his reputation as a selector.  He’s bringing the energy to 39/40 Dublin on Halloween this year and opening up proceedings is Utopia Collective’s Billy Iland, followed by trusted Human Error residents Aero & Dylan Forbes [Patrice & Evra].

Techno & Cans Free Party w/ Sam Greenwood – Berlin D2 – 22.00 – 02.00

Techno & Cans head honcho Sam has done his fair share of shows over the years and this weekend he will be duty all night long at the Berlin Basement. He’ll go through a heap of techno from 1997 to 2019, with the repetitive and loopy sounds of Gaetano Parisio, Technasia and early Umek, to the modern but vintage inspired sounds of Tommy Holohan, Dax J and Stranger, plus throwing in the likes of DJ Assault and DJ Funk along the way.

Free in and capacity is limited to 100, once it’s full it’s full.

For a one off party, Techno & Cans have curated a mega line-up for a garage special. Enlisting Carlton Doom & MathMan together, plus adding one of the most versatile DJs on the planet, Karl Guest to make this a very, very fun edition of Garage & Cans.
