Ev Carm releases ‘Laugh Again’ through ‘andfriends records’
It’s the first release from close friend Uly’s new label.
Dublin songwriter Uly has started up his own label and he’s aiming to give talented close collaborators an extra push with releases. The first single to drop on the DIY set up is ‘Laugh Again’ from Limerick born, Kildare bre, perpetual ‘blow-in’ Ev Carm.
His debut single was recorded in his apartment with equipment
that was either borrowed, or damaged in a fire some years ago –
which he never had the heart to replace.
Hs obsession with textures and layering can be heard in the cut and it’s the perfect number to wind down to. It’s a thoroughly collaborative record with the track benig mastered by Ev’s childhood friend, long-time musical collaborator and producer Adam Garrett.
