Welcome to ‘Heaters’, the essential weekly round-up of the best new music.

Each Friday we curate a collection of must listens to keep you in the loop with the most exciting releases of that week. Ranging from rappers in the Emerald Isle to boundary pushing, experimental producers and everything in between, we’ve got you sorted.

Bronsolino is back and he’s linked up with legendary producer The Alchemist for a rich project, filled to the brim with witty bars and hypnotic beats. Londoner Sam Wise has released a wacky video ahead of his debut EP and JyellowL has replaced his trademark machine gun flow in a new cut with a more slow and meditative delivery. All this and more in Heaters.

Action Bronson – Lamb Over Rice

Chef Bronson has cooked up another spicy project in the form of ‘Lamb Over Rice’. Bronsolino has enlisted frequent collaborator The Alchemist to sprinkle his production magic throughout too. They’ve proved time and time again they are a dynamic duo when it comes to releases and the new project is no different.

The Queens spitter is back to his best with comical one-liners and it’s stacked full of his trademark food references.

Nostalgiac – November Has Come

Having actually been released a couple of weeks ago, we’ve made an exception for Scottish producer Nostalgiac’s EP ‘November Has Come’. The name sake of a huge cut from Gorillaz, it has a similar sonic diversity  to that of the cartoon outfit. It flew under he radar initially but we’ve been rinsing the digestible piece since coming across it, soaking in it’s dark 808s and aggressive production.

 Mount Alaska – Wave Atlas Season One

Electronic music duo Mount Alaska have released their latest album ‘Wave Atlas Season One’. Written, recorded and produced by Stephen Shannon and Cillian Mc Donnell in Shannon’s Dublin studio, Experimental Audio it’s a layered and hugely cohesive piece.  Built around the idea of being a soundtrack for a tv show that doesn’t exist, the project is emotive and acts as an ode to some of their favourite composers.

On the project Cillian said  “Our influences, listening habits and studio work hasn’t always been represented by the music we release, so Wave Atlas: Season One is a good way of addressing that, and introducing people to a side of Mount Alaska they rarely get to hear.”

Lola Young – Intro

Following her debut single ‘6 Feet Under’ last month, London songstress Lola has finally shared her debut EP ‘Intro’. There’s a soulful touch throughout the project that coupled with stellar production makes for a smooth listen. Capturing her attitude and illustrating her embrace of her imperfections and insecurities, it’s a thoroughly mature record from the teenage sensation.

Aaron Unknown – Asylum Feat. JyellowL 

Following the success of their previous collaboration ‘ Oh Lawd’, Aaron Unknown and JyellowL have joined forces again on ‘Asylum’.

J takes on a slower, more deliberate flow on this one complementing the jazzy instrumental, with Aaron Unknown pouring his heart out on a moving cut.

P-rallel – 99 Feat. Lava La Rue

Following the release of his Ep ‘In Due Time’, P-rallel has dropped visuals for ’99’ featuring Lava La Rue. The self-directed video kicks off showing the build up to a party and culminates with the pair coming together to perform. Sprinkling 90s sounds throughout the track, the video pays tribute to the musical history of London. The film shots laced throughout add a welcome hint of nostalgia to a piece combining elements from different eras.

Jesse James Solomon – Tit For Tat Feat. Giggs & Farhot

One of finest wordsmiths from the underground scene has recruited Giggs and Farhot for a nonchalant cut. Featuring whirling synths and beautifully subdued percussion, it clocks in just under two and a half minutes of rapping goodness. This will be pre party rotation for a long time.

Stormzy – Own It Feat. Burna Boy & Ed Sheeran

No introduction needed with this one. Stormzy has recruited two heavy hitters for a single from his upcoming sophomore album, ‘Heavy Is The Head’. Following a huge 2019, including a Glastonbury headline slot, the MC has shared a rhythmic number in the form of ‘Own It’, building anticipation for the new album.

Offica – Skiddibop Feat. Fizzler

Still feeling the buzz from his hugely popular ‘Naruto Drillings’ that was later remixed by KSI, Offica has teamed up with South Londoner Fizzler. Offica’s brand of drill is genuinely unique, with the MC switching up between Yoruba and Irish/UK slang on his latest cut ‘Skiddibop’.

The pair’s tongue twisting flows are supplemented by references to iconic artists throughout and the record feels set to soundtrack many a party over the festive season.

Sam Wise – Towndown

House of Pharaoh’s Sam Wise has dropped a new video ahead of his debut solo EP ‘SYWS (Sorry You Were Saying)’. ‘Towndown’ is hyper animated, colourful and verging on ridiculous – and we love it.

Running  from sharks whilst riding a hypnotic beat, the spitter is laying down a mark before his project drops.
