Hospitality guidelines: 6 per table outdoors and gyms reopen

The government has shared new guidelines outlining the next phase of reopening society.

Following extensive talks, the Irish government has released a ‘living document’ that details the new guidelines set to be introduced from June 7 2021. The guidelines will evolve as new advice and changes to protocol emerge.

New measures are as follows:

From June 2nd:
Accommodation services including hotels, B&Bs, self-catering, caravan & camping and hostels can reopen.
Services including leisure facilities, indoor restaurant and bar services must be restricted to overnight guests and residents only.

From June 7th:
Max. 50 guests at service
Max. 25 guests at wedding reception

Gyms, Pools & Leisure Facilities to reopen for individual training only.

Cafes, Restaurants and Pubs: Outdoor service is permitted for a maximum of 6 persons aged 13 or over per table. This limit of 6 does not include
accompanying children aged 12 or younger. The total combined capacity at a table cannot exceed 15 overall (max. 6 persons aged 13 and over).

Wet Pubs: Outdoor service is permitted for a maximum of 6 persons aged 13 or over per table. This limit of 6 does not include accompanying children aged 12 or younger. The total combined capacity at a table cannot exceed 15 overall (max. 6 persons aged 13 and over). Closing Time Food & Beverage facility must be clear of all patrons by 11:30pm.

Outdoor organised activities have a maximum capacity of 15 people.
