Jessy Rose releases first solo single ‘Bloom’

The former Hare Squead member is back with his first solo effort.

Born to parents of Congolese descent and growing up in Dublin, the world was ready for the taking for Jessy Rose. He’d signed to Colombia Records with the rest of his group Hare Squead back in 2016 and they went on to tour with Dua Lipa in Europe and had Goldlink jump on a remix of ‘Hareside Story’.

Everything was looking up, that was until things took an unexpected turn and he suffered a mental health crisis leading to his exit from the group in 2017.

Following treatment and a period of self reflection, Jessy has returned to the musical arena and has been busy in the studio with producers like Hoskins, SG Lewis, Jazz Purple, Hoost, Marc Dowding, and Felix Joseph, as well as co-writing Mahalia fan favourite ‘Sober’.

He recently hopped on Ben Esser’s introspective RnB single ‘Daily’, and now the Blanchardstown native has released his debut solo effort ‘Bloom’. It’s a beautifully emotive cut primed to launch the singer to big places.
