La Peniche Restaurant reopens today

By Emily Mullen

Dublin’s most beloved floater is back

Set to be a masterstroke as the days get longer and the people trapped between their four-walls get hungrier, La Peniche has reopened today after months of closure. The floating restaurant has resurfaced at the same spot alongside Mespil Road, on the Grand Canal with a new venture selling pizzas for delivery and collection from the boat.

The pizza menu gives a nod to La Peniche’s haute cuisine roots with toppings like artichoke, black olives, anchovy, and parma ham. This is definitely an older-style menu, compared to the upstart pizza places around the city.

There are starters of garlic bread, buffalo wings, bruschetta alongside sides like Caesar salad, plus kale and quinoa salad. There’s also coffee available from Irish blenders Red Robin.

La Peniche will be open from 12.30 pm today and follow their Instagram account for updates.
