ChoiceCuts have confirmed a Christmas marathon for Lee Fields.

On Thursday December 7, Friday December 8 and Saturday December 9 The Sugar Club will host legendary soul man Lee Fields and his band The Expressions.

Lee Fields is a ChoiceCuts favourite, and for good reason, so there’s no better act to take on this ambitious Christmas-time residency.

Fields & Co. are touring the 2016 record ‘Special Night’, which was written, recorded, mixed and mastered in three weeks at the iconic Diamond Mine Studios in Queens, NY.

“I feel that every human being’s purpose is to do what their inner voice says to do,” says Lee Fields in a press release. “And my inner voice, my driving force, wants me to put out music and keeping making better records.”

That record is also the first project in the Expressions back catalogue in which each song was written by both Fields and The Expressions.

“When I record, I make every song like I actually mean it. I mean every word I say. On Special Night I’m talking to my lady — literally, expressing the way I feel. You can tell if a song is real or not, and every moment I’m recording, those moments are real, this is a record about what people do in real life.”
