Marcus Woods releases highly-anticipated new LP ‘demo’

Clondalkin-based producer Marcus Woods has released his latest project after months of teasing it, showcasing a new and more mature direction for the young artist.

The LP, ‘demo’, arrived at midnight on District Recordings and you’ll be able to get the first listen through a proper soundsystem on Friday October 19 in The Sugar Club as Marcus supports Biig Piig at the District Issue 005 launch, playing the record in full. Click here for tickets to that.

There’ll also be an official launch of ‘demo’ in The Sound House on November 2. Marcus will take to the decks to showcase his new project and play some bangers too. Support artists include Max Zanga of Tebi Rex, Paye Fox and ARBU.

“The project is a fusion of ambient, experimental and trap elements into something not too avant-garde for my first major release; it’s quite literally a demo of new sounds and ideas in the attempt to establish myself as a household production name in Ireland.

”As for the show, I want to give everybody an incredible experience with the new set I‘ve got prepared. On top of that, the support line-up is going to be tops, it’s going to be a madness.”

Entry is completely free, but get down early because capacity is limited. Click here for more on how you can be there.
