The non-profit-organisation have started a campaign to give its users more control when surfing the web.
Mozilla has announced its Unfck The Internet Campaign. Mozilla are a non-profit-organisation behind the Browser Firefox. The campaign informs Firefox users how to protect their data and spot misinformation online.
The CMO, Lindsey Shepard, has condemned the “misinformation, corruption and greed” on the web.
Unfck The Internet is an evolving list of advice that Mozilla gives to its users. The advice includes how to be aware of political propaganda online and how to use Facebook and Youtube settings to report misinformation and incorrect advertising.
According to Mozilla, the campaign will help its users “prevent Facebook from following you around the rest of the web”. It also stops users from going down Youtube “rabbit holes” and encourages everyone to watch Netflix’s The Social Dilemma.
