The track comes ahead of her Slow Motion Fantasy EP that lands on July 30.

Sharing DNA with Jamie XX’s atmospheric ideals and the luminescent pop of Romy and La Roux, Nnic has shared a slow-building anthem in the shape of ‘When You’re There’.

Coupled with stunning visuals that come courtesy of multi award winning installation artist Aoife Dunne, Nnic’s attention to detail and commitment to world building comes to life in her latest effort.

The track concerns itself with the gradual progress society has made with feminist ideals and puts all the patting on the back under the microscope.

Speaking on the forthcoming EP Nnic said, “The concept for the E.P was born out of the need for vibrant energetic escapism whilst living amongst the slow outdated attitudes found only in cushy suburbia. Slow Motion Fantasy aims at the perception that living in suburbia is the quintessential ‘ good life’ but in reality, it’s the breeding ground for unprogressive ignorance.”

Written by Nnic, ‘When You’re There‘ was engineered and mixed by long time collaborator and fellow Irish artist James Smith AKA Yurn. Speaking on the song, he said “When I heard the demo of “When You’re There” I got really excited… It’s quite a lofi sounding song, so I gave it a little richness with some piano and saturated some violin that ebbs and flows”.
