Optmst, Brién and more to play Open House Festival

Words: Staff Writer

For the first time in a year, Bangor’s Openhouse Festival is opening its doors albeit virtually for a series of events.

Kicking off from Friday 26 February, Bangor Open House festival is showcasing a number of rising acts from the area in a live stream event series.

The old Court house on the Northern Irish town’s seafront will host the likes of Soft Boy Records producer Brién and R&S Records affiliate Optmst. Though small in size, Bangor has been prolific for producing musical talent, with artists hailing from the town including Foy Vance and Two Door Cinema club. This year’s showcase will have a resopundingly more electronic edge with Gilmore and funk band Aeons providing an alternative sound to the lineup.

The Court House Sessions will feature eleven recorded performances which will be released in a staggered schedule from February 26 to mid-March and will be available to view via the Openhouse Festival YouTube channel and website.
