Quick-fire questions: Happyalone.

Operating on the dark web, Mike Skinner easing them into the octagon and which skateboarding legend they need at Glastonbury.

Happyalone. have been quietly working away in 2019. Having played All Points East, Latitude and numerous other stages over the Summer they’ve now ‘L U C I F E R’. Their first release of 2019 is a statement of intent that blends their diverse influences ranging from rock to trap. It’s hard to place the group neatly into one genre and the boys routinely throw a spanner in the works in regards to what is expected sonically, keeping interested listeners on their toes.

We caught up with the trio to chat their most outrageous rider requests, the first album they bought and where we can catch them in the rest of 2019.

You are fighting in the octagon, what song do you walk out to?

Happyalone: Turn The Page – The Streets

Whose music are you listening to at the moment?

Happyalone: We are currently unashamedly listening to our own music as we are working very hard on our debut EP amongst other time-consuming ventures. We have a playlist that we’ve started recently on our Spotify Page titled ‘HAPPYANDFRIENDS’ where you can see what we’ve been listening to throughout the week. That’s updated every Sunday…Ish.

You have your own talk show, who is your first guest?

Happyalone: Joaquin Phoenix.

You can rock the stage with any act past or present, who are you choosing?

You are headlining Glastonbury, what are your most outrageous rider requests?

Happyalone: A loving wife.

Happyalone: Locked away in our bedroom studio churning out the hits you never knew you wanted to hear. No in all seriousness we’ve cut ourselves off from the outside world, fully immersing in the pain and glory of the creation of art. It is blood, sweat, tears and bucket loads of wine. Brace yourselves for a whole lot of music from Happyalone. to define the 20’s.
