Rubberbandits & Ruth Negga are representing Limerick in cinema

T2 Trainspotting premiered last night in London and the official soundtrack features Limerick duo, Rubberbandits track ‘Dads Best Friend’.

Ewan McGregor also shared that he’s a big fan of the guys while being interviewed on the orange carpet.

In addition, Ruth Negga has been thrust into the Hollywood spotlight after her stand-out performance in Loving, and has now been nominated for best actress in the 2017 Oscars.

She’ll be up against Isabelle Huppert (Elle), Natalie Portman (Jackie), Emma Stone (La La Land) and Meryl Streep (Florence Foster Jenkins).

The Irish actress was also nominated for a Golden Globe and recently featured on the front cover of W Magazine with Natalie Portman, for the special ‘Year’s Best Performance’ issue.

On the proud Limerick news the Rubberbandits tweeted:

They play The Academy next month Saturday the 4th of February. Tickets here.
