Today Cork band Shookrah took to Twitter to announce that they would no longer be continuing to make music together.
It follows an illustrious career that saw them named as one of the ‘50 People To Watch in 2018‘ by the Irish Times and tours across Ireland and shows further abroad.
We have some sad but ultimately well considered and final news to share.
We in Shookrah have decided to take a final bow as a band after 6.5 yrs together and wanna take this chance to thank all of you who have supported us over the years, played our music or said a kind word ♥️ pic.twitter.com/YUIfRhx4Jr

Over the years the group’s soulful sound became an important fabric of the alternative scene in Ireland and they’ll be missed.
