Slaughterhouse Dublin have sold out their first outdoor horror film screening

Words: Emily Mullen

Those lucky enough to bag a ticket will be in for an evening of screening and screaming

Nature is in some way healing, thanks to events like this one that was just announced in Dublin 8 cafe and megastore Hen’s Teeth. Which involves the screening of cult horror film Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses on the covered terrace of Hen’s Teeth.

The event has been organised by Slaughterhouse, Dublin’s new cult horror screening club. For this first screening artist James McGuirk has reinterpreting the film’s poster, into an A2 print.

Each event organised by the group, will involve a screening of a film that will be “screened in an unusual location, with once-off prints re-interpreting the films poster by different Irish artists for sale”.

“We’ll have music inspired by the film + the occasional special guest interview and conversation,” the Slaughterhouse team wrote on their Instagram account

While their first screening has sold out, Slaughterhouse is planning more screenings in the future, keep an eye on their Instagram page for more information.

McGuirk’s print is also available for independent purchase and can be done so by DMing Hen’s Teeth on Instagram.
