There’s a farmers market in the RDS this weekend

Words: Katie Gartland

If you’re in search of some last minute bits and bobs, head over to the market on Saturday.

Have you left all your Christmas-present buying to the last minute? Do you still have rakes of bits and bobs to buy for your aunties, grandparents and even your sibling’s S.O.? Don’t panic, you’ve still got 9 full days to get all the paraphernalia you need this Christmas. Luckily, the RDS are holding a craft fair and farmers market on Saturday. So you can complete your Christmas list and shop Irish- we love to see it.

The RDS are set to host a farmers market and craft fair this Saturday. The market will be outside and will have over 60 stalls selling Irish food and crafty bits.

You best go with an empty stomach because the food stalls will include organic fruit & veg, freshly baked breads, fish, locally produced cheeses, and handmade Chocolates. If you’re on the lookout for your Christmas dinner desserts, homemade puddings and chocolates will also be available. The market will stock a range of jars with miscellaneous jams, chutneys and relishes. Is your mouth watering yet?

If you’re in the market for a longer lasting gift, the RDS will also be home to their wonderful annual craft fair. Though the beloved fair will be a little different this year, it will still stock some old favourites. It will offer handmade Christmas wreaths, handcrafted wooden toys, candles, soaps and other beautiful Irish gifts.

So, if you’re on the lookout for a few last-minute gifts, or you just want to get into the festive feel, pop into this RDS this Saturday. The market will run from 10:00 to 15:00.
