There’s an old-school gabber night happening in Dublin next month

Pussys Club are bringing ‘The Hakke Show‘ to Dublin, a hardcore party with gabber-dancers on stage, and we’re excited to be involved.

In 2011 Alberto Guerrini started a blog called gabbereleganza, detailing lost photographs and flyers from the gabber scene.

The Italian was involved in the gabber community himself, and in 2016 he decided it needed a resurgence and brought the concept of the blog on the road. He turned the idea of a banging gabber DJ set into something of an art form.

On Saturday June 17 the Gabber Eleganza experience is coming to Hangar’s warehouse. We’ll be taking over the second room to curate something a bit more chilled so you can take little dancing breaks, but we recommend immersing yourself… Shave your head and get your Kappa.

In an interview with Vice he discusses his origins in the gabber scene:

“I saw this guy who looked really different to everyone else. He had a skinhead and was wearing a tracksuit, so I asked him why he looked like that. He said, “I’m a gabber. I listen to hardcore music. I fully fucking love, man.” I was quite insecure, so as soon as I found this tribe I could be a part of, I went for it.”
